Wolverhampton Wanderers may have just crowned central defender Joleon Lescott as their official Player of the Season, but here on Wolves 24-7, you our readers have voted for a different member of the squad.

FAN’S PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Wolves 24-7 readers from all four corners of the globe have been frantically registering their votes over the last month for the member of the Wolverhampton Wanderers squad who they feel has been the most impressive over the entire season.

Former Wolves midfielder Alex Rae was last year’s Wolves 24-7 Fan’s Player of the Season, when the Scot polled a winning majority of 34% to edge out striker Henri Camara by 7%.

:)This season’s poll however was not as close, as one player held off 13 of his team mates to stroll to the title with a massive 86% of your votes – that man is KI-HYEON SEOL.

South Korean supporters from across the world voted on our poll for their sporting hero Seol and Wolves 24-7 records have shown that the huge majority of votes for the forward stemmed from several South Korean Forums.

The loyal Seol fan-base ensured their man won our most coveted gong as 1658 supporters placed a vote for the former Anderlecht hit-man.

Ki-Hyeon Seol was something of a revelation at Molineux when former Wolves manager Dave Jones brought the South Korean from Belgian outfit Anderlecht for £1.2 million in August last year.

Following a difficult readjustment period as he battled to make his mark in English football, the 25-year-old slowly began to show just why the club invested so heavily in him.

By Christmas last year Wolves’ number 19 was a permanent member of the first-team, but more importantly he was finding the back of the net.

Seol played 40 matches for Wolves this season, scoring six goals in all competitions; it was in particular his form in the New Year which led to him being awarded the Wolves 24-7 Player of the Month in both January and February.

Following Seol and missing out on the title by some way is Wolves no nonsense skipper PAUL INCE who managed 7% of the votes and third place went to the official Wolves player of the season JOLEON LESCOTT who polled 2% respectively.
